Advertising Policy

How this site is funded

London Writers is being prepared for display advertising through Google AdSense. No advertising is live until an AdSense account for this site has been reviewed and approved by Google, and the necessary configuration (including a valid ads.txt file) is in place. We make no claim or promise about AdSense approval; acceptance is determined by Google against its own publisher policies.

How ads will be placed, once active

Advertising will be placed in clearly separated positions — for example:

• Below an article’s introduction
• Between clearly separated sections within longer articles
• In a sidebar alongside article content on desktop
• Below the full article content

Ads will not be placed inside navigation, between a heading and the text that follows it, or styled to resemble buttons or links, and we aim to keep the volume of advertising on any one page reasonable relative to the content.

Editorial independence

Advertising does not influence which topics we cover or what our articles say. Advertisers do not get to review or approve editorial content, and we do not accept payment to write favourably about a specific product, service or company within an otherwise editorial article.

Sponsored or affiliate content

If we ever publish sponsored content or use affiliate links, it will be clearly labelled as such at the point it appears — we will not present paid promotion as independent editorial guidance.
