Write for Us
We occasionally accept guest contributions from writers and publishing professionals with genuine, specific expertise.
What we’re looking for
- Practical, specific guidance — not general motivational writing about “the writer’s journey”
- Topics that fit our existing categories: publishing, writing craft, editing, ghostwriting, proofreading, formatting, cover design, marketing, ISBNs and copyright, ebooks or audiobooks
- Original work written specifically for us, not republished from your own blog or elsewhere
- A UK perspective where relevant — platform specifics, legal references and terminology should reflect UK practice
What we won’t publish
- Thinly disguised advertising for a specific paid service, course or product
- Content written primarily to embed links for SEO purposes
- Unverifiable claims, invented statistics, or testimonials presented as fact
- AI-generated drafts submitted without substantive human review and editing
How to pitch
Rather than sending a finished draft cold, send a short pitch covering:
- A working title and one-paragraph summary of the article
- Why you’re a good fit to write it (relevant experience, not formal credentials)
- Which existing category it would sit under
- Roughly how long you expect it to be
Send your pitch via our Contact page, using “Write for Us pitch” as the subject line. We read every pitch but can’t guarantee a response to every one, and acceptance of a pitch isn’t a guarantee of final publication.
Editorial standards
Accepted contributions are edited for clarity, UK spelling and consistency with our Editorial Policy before publication, and published under a byline we agree with you in advance. We do not pay for contributions at this time.
Rights
By submitting an article, you confirm it is your own original work and grant London Writers the right to publish, edit and distribute it on this site. You retain copyright in your work.
