Editorial Policy

Last updated: 8 November 2026

Who writes our content

Articles are produced in-house by the London Writers editorial team, under a single editorial byline. We take this approach deliberately — see About Us — rather than attributing articles to individually named writers whose credentials we would need to be able to verify and stand behind.

Research and sourcing

Where an article references a specific fact that can be checked against an authority — such as UK copyright law, ISBN registration procedures, or a publishing platform’s stated requirements — we try to check it against that authority’s own published documentation (for example, the UK Intellectual Property Office, or a platform’s official help pages) rather than secondhand summaries. Where an article includes such sources, they are listed at the end of the piece.

What we don’t do

  • We do not publish fabricated statistics, testimonials, awards or case studies.
  • We do not attribute invented credentials or qualifications to our editorial team.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for favourable coverage of a product or service.
  • We do not present sponsored or affiliate content as independent editorial without disclosure — see our Advertising Policy.

Corrections

If we become aware that an article contains an error, we correct it. For a factual correction, we update the article and, for a substantive change, update its “Last updated” date so the revision is visible alongside the original publish date. We don’t silently rewrite the substance of a published article without noting that it has been revised.

Updates over time

Publishing platforms, legal requirements and industry practice change. Where an article covers a topic that is likely to change — pricing, platform policies, legal procedure — we aim to revisit it periodically rather than leaving it to go quietly out of date.

Reporting an issue

If you believe an article is inaccurate, out of date, or unclear, please tell us via our Contact page, ideally with a link to the specific article and a brief description of the issue.
